Local businesses activate their creativity for a new edition of the ‘Fira de Tots Sants’ window dressing contest

  • In this special edition, the face-to-face aspect is joined by the consumer award, which will be decided by the neighbors themselves through their publications on social networks.
  • A jury of five experts will evaluate next Friday the 20th, the creations made by the merchants in the XXVI edition of this deep-rooted contest.

The 674 edition of the Fira de Cocentaina continues with the activities programmed in this special year in which the contest has adapted to the circumstances to continue making history. Among the activities that throughout the years are kept alive is the 'Window Dressing Contest', which this year celebrates its twenty-sixth edition and for which local businesses have already prepared their windows with reasons that indicate that the Fair is present in its establishments and is a living element that, as every year, gives an economic injection to all participating exhibitors.

This initiative, launched within the framework of the Fair by the Associació de Comerç del Comtat, this year has two aspects, one in person and the other online. In the first format, a jury composed of five members, including the councilor of Fira, Eugenia Miguel and the councilor of Commerce, Paqui Ruiz, will take a tour of the participating businesses on Friday, November 20, and will assess creativity and decorative elements that make up each of the windows.
As a novelty, in this edition of the contest the online aspect has been included so that neighbors can publish the photos of the showcase that they like the most on their RRSS, Facebook and Instagram. In order for their vote to be effective, they must tag the establishment and the official social networks of the Fair in order to be able to count the impacts of each of the establishments.

The prizes that will be awarded to the winners consist of promotional packages on the municipal radio, as well as various free dues intervals in the trade association. The amounts and time intervals from which the winners will benefit will vary depending on whether they are in first, second or third prize. The RRSS winner will receive a special and personalized publication on the Fira's news channels.
The councilor of Fira, Eugenia Miguel, has indicated that “this contest is an incentive for the contending businesses that use their own facilities in Fira and, more importantly, are involved in keeping the essence of the contest alive for many years, by finally, we have many exhibitors and shops from different parts of the Valencian Community, but without a doubt, it is important that those at home continue to support the Fira even though its format this year is special ”. He took the opportunity to thank "the Merchants Association for having launched this contest once again and continuing to work to build a strong commercial fabric in Cocentaina."
