  • Synopsis: At the end of 1999, José Bou and Antoine Ferrer, two sport divers from the Vila Joyosa made an immersion to find and make photographies of a small fishing vessel. Unfortunately, the anchor of their vessel got blocked, but, which was the surprise when they unblocked it? They found a very exceptional Roman merchant vessel. El Bou Ferrer, which takes its name in honour of its discoverers, is today the biggest vessel of its kind concerning Mediterranean archaeological digs. It is a vessel dated at the first century AD., coming from Cadiz and going to Italy, and which was carrying 4000 anchors and lead ingots. The Bou Ferrer is today a consolidated and multidisciplinary research project which carried out by national and international institutions. Come with us in this adventure and dive to discover the Bou Ferrer, an extraordinary site
